The loneliness of a distance runner didn’t apply to our cross country runners. 

Guided by our experienced senior runners, Maggie Foster, Claire Jacob, Cydney Ross, and Lydia St. Eve, the team was never lonely.  Early season highlights occurred at the Metro Meet as the team finished a strong fourth, almost winning a trophy. 

The team finished with a strong showing at districts and Cydney Ross who medaled at all regular season meets was Villa’s first state qualifier since 2002.
