"Run hard.....Play hard......Finish strong!" was cross country's motto this season.  The girls enjoyed grueling, yet fun practices running up hills, working on speed, and enduring long runs up to 9 miles.  The four freshmen survived their inaugural meet at Jefferson Barracks and went on to set PR's (personal records) throughout the season.  The seasoned juniors and 2 seniors led the team with enthusiasm and motivation, always ready to run.  By the end of hte season, the 2006 Villa Cross Country Team was more like a family.
