Mission Statement
According to the vision of St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, the foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart, Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill educates its students to live effectively in an ever changing world. As a member of the
Network of Sacred Heart Schools in the United States, Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill operates as an independent Catholic school for students in grades Junior Kindergarten through 12. Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill offers an educational environment predicated on five goals:

Goal 1: To create and sustain personal and active faith in God
Goal 2: To promote a deep respect for intellectual values
Goal 3: To educate to a social awareness which impels to action
Goal 4: To promote the building of community as a Christian value
Goal 5: To foster personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom

Students
Oak Hill (Junior Kindergarten - grade 6), 311 boys & girls
Villa Duchesne Middle School (grades 7-8), 121 girls
Villa Duchesne High School (grades 9-12), 331 girls

Our students represent more than 60 zip codes & a variety of religious denominations.  They are recognized as National Merit Scholars, AP Scholars, Missouri Scholars Academy members, national and area art competition winners, writing contest winners, award-winning Show Choir members, Thespian Society members, creators and coordinators of community service programs and social action projects, service award winners, leadership conference participants, Metro Women's Athletic Association All-Stars, Division 1 athletic scholarship recipients.

Faculty
Our faculty stands at 109 with 47% at Oak Hill and 64% at Villa Duchesne holding advanced degrees.

Campus
The school's 60 acre campus includes the 1929 Main Building which houses our beautiful Chapel, the state-of-the art Katherine Danis Science Center, a wireless network servicing more than 600 Tablet PCs and laptops, a cutting-edge foreign language lab, a library/media center with more than 14,000 volumes, an art wing and auditorium.

Athletic facilities include the Thelma Kenefick gymnasium, complete with an indoor swimming pool and new fitness center. In addition, there are eight tennis courts and four playing fields. The 400-meter Holthaus track is located on the lower campus.

Alumnae/i
More than 6,700 alumnae/i, including graduates of the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Louis (City House) which merged with Villa Duchesne in 1968, are a strong sign of family belonging and continuity and a great source of support and pride to the school today. They are organized with 52,000 Sacred Heart alumnae/i in the U.S. and thousands more in 42 countries on six continents as people of faith and commitment. Villa graduates are accepted into many prestigious colleges and universities.

Our membership and accreditations include Independent Schools of St. Louis, Independent Schools Association of the Central States, North Central Association, Network of Sacred Heart Schools and National Catholic Education Association.
